The range of custom made doors is almost only limited to your imagination. Manufactured on aluminium frames, almost any material can be fixed to your door. From acrylic panels, as above through to cedar panels, the range is endless. Louvred doors similar to the gate on the home page (and shown in the gallery page) are ideal for underground carparks or carports for ventilation while providing maximum security
We manufacture our own Tilt doors, with some having specialty sheeting fitted by others, as above, which was done by Decopanel in Brisbane.
Statesman – The original raised square panel design for sectional doors. Available in smooth or woodgrain finish.
Grange – Is a wider raised panel resulting in less panels across the door. Available in smooth or woodgrain.
Seville – Fine lines pressed into each panel make it ideal for contemporary styled homes.
The roller Door was first manufactured in 1956 by B&D Doors in Sydney. In over 55 years, over 1 million roller doors have been sold. Made from Lysaght colorbond steel, the current version is lighter than ever before and with its square profiling stronger. It has a centre lift locking mechanism with 2 locking bars for security. It is available in the budget level ‘rollmasta’ version and the B&D branded version. Available in a wide range of colorbond colours.
For those cases where you would like as much walk in height as possible, consider the reverse roll exterior mounted roller door (by Napoleon Garage Doors) with the slightly weatherproof GDO10 operator. After this installation the owner had her builder cover the door and operator with a weatherproof false head.
All operators come with a 5 year manufacturer warranty, with the B&D Advance (sectional and tilt door) and the CAD PD (roller doors) with a 7 year warranty.
To keep your garage door running as smooth as possible, try the following tips :
Roller Doors – to keep your roller door operating smoothly, use a silicone spray in the tracks.Spray both sides that the white ‘tape’ on the door glides on then run the door up and down a few times. This will also help keep the tape clean.I would not recommend using oil based sprays in the track as dirt and dust stick to the oil causing the tape to turn black and clog up.Once this happens it’s time to throw the door away and buy a new one.Silicone spray is available at most hardware stores or alternatively MR Sheen will do.
Sectional doors – Spray metal hinges on both sides with an oil based spray (WD40 or similiar) as this is the cause of most complaints I attend to for noisey doors. At the same time spray the large spring above the door, as this lubricate them and hopefully prolong the life of the springs.Th lfe span on the springs these days is around 10,000 cycles,so if you use your door,say,4 times a day, that’s approx 1500 times a year the door goes up and down.
PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO ADJUST SPRING TENSION ON YOUR GARAGE DOOR AS THIS CAN LEAD TO SERIOUS INJURY OR WORSE. SPRINGS AND CABLES ARE UNDER EXTREME TENSION. CALL ME TO PERFORM THIS JOB – SERVICE CALLOUT FEE IS ONLY $88.00
The way to find out if your door needs retensioning is manually operate your door – if it doesn’t stay up without you holding it, it needs the spring looked at.
